Today, on International Migration Day (18 December), we honour the dignity, resilience, and invaluable contributions of migrants everywhere, to the societies they join, the communities they leave, and the global tapestry we all share.

Evidence shows that many citizens, particularly those from marginalised communities, face persistent barriers to engaging in local decision-making processes that directly affect their lives.
๐โจ Human Rights Day reminds us of a milestone: on December 10, 1948, the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, affirming dignity, equality, and freedom for all. Since then, this day has been a global call to protect and practice those rights in everyday life.
