I'd be happy to have her car towed.

Longest bike ride post bariatric surgery. Certainly this is the weather for it. Only two drivers honked at me. Good day all around.
Ooh! Exciting! Thank you.
Designers: Are you looking for women's active wear?
Me: yes I am.

The hunt for bibshorts continues.

I agree whole heartedly! And now that I have tried those dockless ebikes, they are very zoomy! 🥰
Ooh! Where can I get THAT decal?
We like it. It's better than the alternative.
Why is it "alarming" when a trust waits to raise the alarm about a public health risk but not when the government does it?

"And it shall be on sale from January until October when we all switch to Halloween candy for some reason...."
Five weeks post bariatric surgery and I can report that I am about 70% cottage cheese and Greek-style yogurt at this point.
My partner is particularly soft with these two. He stopped making coffee (for me) so he could get treats for the boys, since they were waiting. The word "no" does not appear in his vocabulary where these cats are concerned.
Two cats sitting politely in the kitchen hoping for treats
Making coffee sounds remarkably similar to opening Dreamies, apparently
I never really feel unsafe. But during our honeymoon, housekeeping came in all the time: early morning, late morning, mid-afternoon. I have just gotten in the habit of using the chain every time. No chain? Im not staying.
This is exactly the point.
Me too. I cannot describe how violent I would become to find someone in my hotel room, but to find out they gave out my key to a stranger?? I would get arrested.
Travelodge apologises that this has hit the press and promises to do the bare minimum so we all stop talking about this again.

No. In both cases, the defendant was found guilty in absentia and fined accordingly. They will get the court ruling in the post and if they do not pay, bailiffs will attend.
Judges tend to give defendants the benefit of the doubt, even if they don't turn up to court. It's very strange. We had a case we won in magistrates, the defendant appealed and then didn't turn up. The judge just assumed he might be vulnerable and didn't award costs. No one made him appeal.
I can now identify the unmistakable sound of a cat pulling a towel off the door it has been hung on to dry.
It's weird, I never feel unsafe (unless I'm cycling and then it's cars that concern me). But during our honeymoon, housekeeping came into our room unannounced so many times (early morning, mid-afternoon, whenever) that I started taking extra precautions just so we could have privacy. Still do tbh.
Grey skies are gonna clear up, put on a happy face....
I don't know which is worse: giving out the hotel room key and hotel room number to a stranger, or offering the victim a £30 refund after she was assaulted in her hotel room by the guy they gave the key to.
Hotel says their staff followed the security procedures but then would not say what those procedures were. Apparently, you just need to give the front desk the name of the woman. They will give you the key AND the room number she is in.
No more Travelodge for me.

When I heard people talking about needing to top of their tanks, I was so glad (not for the first time) that I have a bike.
I will be less happy when my energy bills go through the roof again.
Chances are if I'm on a bike alone it's because I've been dropped (again) and I'll catch up at the coffee stop.
Oh no! Now I have to reconsider my compliment.
3rd week post op (gastric bypass on 13th Feb) and I finally got up the courage to get on the WattBike in the gym. Only 15 minutes. It felt good. Well, it felt as good as it feels to cycle nowhere.
I love the depth of your collection!
