Gosh, I've got to wonder about the food you were served. Indian food is typically heavy on spices (especially turmeric) and I'm confused how you ended up with flavorless food. The frozen area of your grocery might have items like Saffron Road Tikka Masala etc. if you'd like to try again. Good luck!
