I despise with the heat of a thousand suns the way I have to be suspicious of all art I see now while I investigate it's authenticity, because this couldn't be more diametrically opposed to the state of mind one should be in while taking in all art.

NDIS is a joke. They don't give a shit about disabled people.
I was denied NDIS because my disability comes from a medical condition. Why is it different? Just is, I guess. So if I need mobility aids, fuck me, because maybe one day someone could theoretically invent a magical cure for my condition?

Aw man, apparently I haven't made my disdain for the Slop Merchants loud enough.
I do see potential in ML Tech when used correctly, but everything the Tech Bro losers are trying to shove it into is chasing a future where they don't have to pay people; ESPECIALLY creative professionals.
Burn it down.

That's just fact

To make matters worse, one of the standard games I ordered alongside it was handled similarly roughly and carelessly - the manual was shoved inside such that it was creased and crumpled.
Zero respect! Whoever assembled these was just careless and clumsy.

This is an expensive set for the biggest fans and collectors, and it was treated without an ounce of care or respect.
As if to punctuate the fact, the backing on the adhesive strip for the plastic sleeve holding the Steelbook wasn't even removed.

Just rushed and careless all around.

The map poster has been folded in such a way that it is rippled and creased and worn along the edge like it was scraped with a knife.

While it's meaningless filler tat, the block puzzle is cheaper and even less impressive than I expected. It's not a slider puzzle, it's just cheap, painted wood.

I've had things ruined in the post by careless handling, but it's a new one to open a pristine box and find the contents pre-ruined.
Quality control for this set in general just seems nonexistent.
The nice foil slipcase for the game box is scratched and flaking out of the box.

My primary reason for buying this edition was this comic book - you cannot get it anywhere else; @bitbotmedia.bsky.social are making multiple companion comics, all of which I have ordered. But this premium box set was packed with such little care it was ruined before it even went in a shipping box.

I'm a huge Legacy of Kain fan. I've been eagerly, but patiently, waiting for the big exclusive Limited Run Collector's Edition set to arrive.
It finally did! And the first thing to greet me upon opening the big fancy box... was bits of my exclusive collector's item shoved in carelessly and torn.

I've defended @limitedrungames.com a lot - they've made mistakes, and past leadership operated on an "ask forgiveness, not permission" and "lie and apologise" approach, but overall I've been satisfied with what I get in the end.

My latest arrival, however... is just unacceptable.

Piles of books and a notebook.
There's really just something so cosy and satisfying about it, even as you juggle them all looking for the one piece of information you need to copy down.

My brain just works better on paper than with a screen, I think.

What's left for a man who has done nothing but plaster his name on things for a lifetime, when he realises that name can be taken off it all?
Something so historically significant, it can never be forgotten.

He's *going* to drop nukes on Iran, just to be remembered forever as the man who did it.

We know Trump is drowning in serious medical issues. He wants to be immortalised, and most of that is with monuments.
He's put his name on everything, but that can be taken down and he knows it deep down - so he wanted to build giant things that are harder to get rid of.
Those have been blocked.

"Kill chain."
Because it's blockchain (but not really) for execution?

I sure do feel safe knowing the people responsible for the "get everything wrong and promise to fix it later" business model will be deciding literally who lives and dies.

Equally likely outcome is that this is all bullshit so him and his cronies can make millions in market manipulation.

And just saying those possibilities are “equally likely” makes my head hurt.

Alex Karp is using Palantir’s website to promote his white supremacist manifesto.

This is the company selling surveillance tools to ICE. The moment a sane person is in power in this country, Palantir & the entire fascist-techbro collaborationist sphere must be dismantled.

It's not a "madman strategy" - he's just a madman.
Literally a demented psychopath.
When he drops nukes, because he's cornered and needs to feel strong again, will they still try to sanewash this as some sort of tactical chess move?

Its not a hot take but man the way the word "content" is used these days. A vile bit of late stage capitalist propaganda, lumping all forms of human creativity and expression into a single wastebin teaching the public to treat all art as disposable.

I like bluesky because it feels so much like tumblr

1. barely works
2. userbase is annoying (affectionate)(not that affectionate)
3. being queer on here feels like I’m actively participating in ruining some tech company’s investment

The fact that "being taxed on a wealth that would take most people dozens of generations to gather" is "the scariest thing she's ever seen" means the world isn't scaring millionaires and billionaires nearly enough yet.

Sonic Pocket Adventure: A byte-sized blue blur Think of portable Sonic and the classic Game Gear adventures, all hang-gliding in the rain and an entire zone’s worth of bridge, will probably sping to mind. Or perhaps the later Game Boy Adv…

Portable perfection! What a lovely little game this is:
