I think creatives should be able to talk openly about struggles relating to their work without being held responsible for others being upset because they're taking it personally. If someone doesn't like it they can refuse to engage. If it's really too much they can unfollow or even block.

I'm also adding that years ago I was definitely the type of person that would see a more experienced artist critique themselves or express dissatisfaction and take it as a critique on me personally. But those were MY feelings. They were not responsible for my negative reaction.

Fear of being perceived incorrectly is a plague on one's mind. If being off social media helps your mental health you should definitely stay off it as much as you can. I know for me I have to be VERY careful with how I use it and when I use it, especially having it directly tied with my art.
