A sticker of two Map Turtles basking in top of each other on a log. Looks like they are mating!
A second version where the turtle on the top was made smaller and moved forward to make it look more “safe for work”.
You see, I love creating stickers based on my turtle photographs. 🐢
But this one caused quite a stir on my Instagram because everyone thought it was NSFW. 😂
They are basking together! I tried to make it better with a different placement…but no luck! 😅
Snapping turtle covered in mud on dried pond floor.
What is happening here? 🐢
A few years ago, in late October, I came across this snapping turtle covered in mud!
This turtle probably picked an overwintering spot which later dried out. So the turtle moved to a new spot!
Turtles brumate underwater or on land sometimes (e.g., hatchlings). 🐢

My office is pretty cool
So cranky!!
The snapping turtle says “hello”! Although my research doesn’t focus on these turtles, I always love when we catch them! #Turtles #Fieldwork (handled with proper permits)
Thanks! Turtles rock!
