I'd go Len for short. Would be fun when people ask what it's short for.

Nice profile of my colleague Jon, one of several people in our group who took an unusual path to the NHL.
Why is it OK to name your daughter something like Felicity or Prudence, but if you name your son Truculence people give you weird looks?
I have no opinion on the Doug Ford airplane thing (I honestly have no idea how often a premier flies and whether a private plane makes sense for that purpose), but this episode is another great example that Canadians *really* hate anything that looks like a politician profiting off their position.
Oof. Bad take. It's Asus2.
I've seen some reviews saying it's like a Playstation 2 game, and that's not wrong, but I think a better comparison is the Nintendo DS, because of the way you're managing two control schemes at the same time. You can easily imagine the hacking controls as the bottom screen of a 3DS game.
I’ve only played the opening couple hours of Pragmata so I can’t give a detailed opinion, but I’m having fun so far.
So Pragmata: Pretty fun. Fantastic animation. I don't want to give away any cool moments, but I will say that the screenshots, trailers, and demo all make it seem like a Dead Space-style "kill things on a space station" game, but there is a lot more going on than just that.
No interest in Imagine Dragons musically, but this is a fun story.
Disappointing that we decided to call it the Fail Whale when we could have had an Awooga Beluga
But the point is that historically the government has not made ministries that are single-issue focused one new technology. There's no Ministry of Cars With Automatic Transmissions.
I think a more comparable example would be if there was a Minister of Television in the 1950s or a Minister of the Internet in the 1990s.
I'm pleased to announce that Pixar has agreed to option my screenplay for an animated epic about the Napoleonic wars, which we're calling Tolstoyry.
This is a classic programmer complaint, like "Everyone should be on UTC time."
Saw Jeremy Dutcher with the National Arts Centre Orchestra last night. Was my wife's idea but it was a great show, definitely recommend seeing him live if you get the opportunity.
Mostly looks right but FWIW most Canadians I know hate the 12/01/2020 date format. Should be DAY in MONTH in YEAR.
I mean, would you be surprised if they actually were using AI to write their speeches?
I can't abide any adult man who calls himself "Bobby". That is a child's name. You are Robert.
I was sure I was going to mess up the 3rd one when I saw it.

In case this site permanently breaks, I have to get this off my chest first:
WHY DOESN’T ANYONE ON BRITISH TV KNOW HOW TO CLAP PROPERLY??
really does feel like we have a bunch of commentators who would like to just say “the bell curve was right”
When I say the LLM gave it to him, I mean probably that an aide used an LLM and then passed it up the chain.
There's reasonably good odds that an LLM gave Hegseth that quote, right? I have no evidence for that except that the admin seems to be full of people who rely on gen AI to help them shitpost.
LRT: People often ask me how they can improve their odds of getting an NHL job, and working for a vendor like that is a great way to get into the industry (also, working for data vendors can be a pretty interesting job on its own).

It's always fun when North Americans who don't have a lot of familiarity with the British press discover a dour, joyless columnist in a British newspaper, or what you might call "a British newspaper columnist".
Besides, everyone knew that the best way to try out the Nintendo 64 was to beg your parents to take you to Zellers to try the display unit.
