His other hobbies also have meaning behind them - music was a big thing he and his late dad bonded over, and video games were how he and Rio became friends. His list of hobbies and interests tends to grow as he does, as he tends to hyper fixate on one hobby for months until the next takes hold.

Daily OC lore #2: hobbies, ft. Micah! Micah has a lot of hobbies: gaming, guitar, photography, but most importantly: running. Running is therapeutic for Micah, as it was one of his only outlets during a period in his life where he felt trapped and isolated. It was his only taste of freedom.

I love that! My comic also has plot points with drug addiction so I get that! I find it can be a really useful outlet and a way to explore what drives us to those things to begin with.
Sounds like you have a solid base to build on then!! What's your story about?
Starting is the hardest part imo! When I get stuck writing, I tend to just put the bare bones of what happens in brackets and that seems to help me keep from stagnating too much
