Exactly this. My husband is a molecular geneticist and uses AI to sort through literally thousands of lines of genetic code. Fine, it makes sense here. I'm in textbook publishing and they want us to use AI to review pages. We have a team of proofreaders who already do that, and better. I hate it.

Today is my 18th anniversary with my husband. Crazy how fast time passes. I made brown sugar bacon this morning & he's doing pancakes. Last night we went out to dinner and my sisters-in-law watched the kids for us. It's a nice way to celebrate.

My neighbor's niece was on House Hunters, and yes, they already had their paperwork signed. And yes, the producers told the niece to be extremely picky. And then they edited it to make her look even worse. She called family & friends to apologize after it aired.
That vastly changed my perspective on that matter, and Ive never forgotten it. And sadly, men keep proving time and again that she was right. So many can't be trusted to be decent humans, even with the people they're supposed to love the most.
Years ago on "No Reservations," Anthony Boudain was in a ME country (Beirut? Dubai?) and he asked the woman showing him around why single men got their own area of restaurants. She said they weren't kept separate because they were special; it was because they don't act properly around women & kids.
This past week my mentally disabled son twice opened a movie app and typed in the names of movies he wanted to watch. He's learning to spell! He may be about 8 years late to the party, but it's happening and I'm so happy for him.

I went from medium-length hair to a boy haircut. Not a pixie cut, a BOY haircut. Girls wouldn't play with me cause I looked like a boy, boys wouldn't play with me because I was a girl. They called me "MacGuyver," even though it wasn't his haircut. That was 40 years ago. I'm still recovering.

I suspect the Pope sounds "woke" to many Christian conservatives because the US is steeped in prosperity theology, where the point of worship is to deliver health and wealth to believers. Thus, "feed the hungry" and "show mercy for the poor" sounds needlessly political and "woke."
