We have updated nearly 4,000 WWII Online Cenotaph records to include their JayForce service. This consists of those who served in Italy and the Middle East. I wonder how they felt thinking their war service was over then being diverted to Japan. www.aucklandmuseum.com/war-memorial....
This is niche. But respectfully why didn't the NZ Army create a separate list for those who embarked as part of Jayforce and not just tack it on to the 2NZEF embarkations. Cos 80 years later I am still untangling this decision. I mean I know but really!
