The Time War is heating up over the summer and I am READY!

I finally bit the bullet and listened to the Gallifrey Time War series back in January and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! I am so excited for this, and to see the return of Romana is very exciting indeed!

Reading the new synopsis(es?) for the 12DAs is SO EXCITING! Big Finish are giving us some of their very best work for the Twelfth Doctor and I cannot wait at all, it's just gonna be amazing, I can tell. I'd love for Capaldi to return eventually, but for now, I'm very happy with this! I can't wait!

The banner was last updated in early 2025 on a Saturday (and literally just a day after I suggested it needed updating) and in the same month Jo's first boxset was releasing so there's no actual confirmation about no Fifteenth or Fourteenth doctors coming in the future

As for Jo, we still don't know what Big Finish's contribution to Circuit Breaker will be this year, and we also don't know what to expect from a regular Fugitive Doctor series. We have at least had the Sontaran episode last week which was great, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what's next!

It could be that this is from cover art in the future, and I think that's very possible, but interestingly, the pose that I can see of Jodie looks to be more agile, not fitting with the current style of covers for 13DAs, will that be changing? Or is another separate Jodie release coming?

Ok so on yet another random Sunday Big Finish have updated this banner, finally adding both Jodie Whittaker and Jo Martin (very interesting placement of Jo there, Big F). Interestingly, all of the other Doctors use cutouts from cover art but these don't seem to be?

Oh, I really cannot wait!

The Pokémon and trainers just look really ugly in Champions, I've thought so since the trailers, but I really wish they had put any effort into them at all. (also please just look at the spectators. What the fuck did they do? Why include them if they're gonna look like PS1 zombies?)

I feel like a lot of the issues with Champions would be fixed if it had been done like Battle Revolution with new and interesting ideas and a truly cinematic feel (and, yknow, any singleplayer content). As it stands right now, I prefer the way Battle Revolution looks to Champions by a long way.

Today feels like a good day to say that I wish that Genius Sonority was still allowed to make interesting Pokémon experiences and weren't just stuck making the mobile games no one plays (Cafe Remix).

Main notes from the excerpt:
- Ingrid Oliver sounds very different here, probably intentionally, but it did take me a minute at first to recognise her.
- THE MUSIC- Big Finish rarely remix thier own themes so hearing the remixed New Series UNIT theme blew me away! It sounds amazing!

Very excited to have listened to the 20 minute excerpt of UNIT's next boxset! I love what I've heard and can't wait for more. I recently finished Nemesis, so I was officially up to date with Big Finish's UNIT New Series era, so thrilled to see this coming! And with Mel too!

Been listening to some phenomenal Big Finishes in the last couple of days! Curtain was AMAZING! Absolutely terrifying and a thrilling conclusion, and I’m just loving the 11th Doctor Adventures! Can’t wait to finish the series!

To clarify, the article is referring to a new series of audio dramas from Big Finish where most Doctors from Tom Baker to Jodie Whittaker have new episodes releasing consistently

My understanding is that it just means higher resolution and framerate to adapt to the higher lower of the Switch 2. The Switch 1 screen was 720p and 30-60fps, whereas the switch 2 has a 1080p screen and up to 120fps, so it’s just a basic performance boost

So basically, switch games run differently if they’re running in handheld or on the TV. Previously Switch games on Switch 2 use the same settings, but now because Switch 2 has a more powerful system and higher quality screen, they can run like they do on the TV for Switch 1

So if using AI actually does erode human cognition the way studies suggest, then it's a feature instead of a bug?

The world is gross enough without "take away people's ability to think so we can sell it back to them" being on the list.

Very sad to hear that the Torchwood series is coming to a close with @bigfinish.bsky.social. I really hope it comes back because it's one of my absolute favourite things about Big Finish! But also, a massive thank you to @gossjam.bsky.social for all the hard work you've done!
