When August and Christine Got Coffee (Part 4/4) - Gator Days
Characters
Christine - Alligator - Just moved into town and is trying to meet people.
August - Alligator - A single guy working in IT at a tech start up. Has a lot of trouble talking to people.
Transcript
Panel 1
August and Christine have been out on a coffee date. Christine had been feeling uncomfortable about the location of their date but has started feeling better after talking to August about it. They have one last conversation as they walk back to her bus stop. They walk by a store called "OMG SHOES" with "WOW" written right below. Fun fact, the OMG actually standards for Ogden Michele Gogglestep, inventor of the Gogglestep. I do not know what a Gogglestep is.
Christine: Hope I didn't ruin our date.
August: Not at all.
We can FINALLY see what August's shirt says! It says "Classy Shirt"... That's it? That's what we've been waiting for? The majority of people in the comments guessed that early on. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Panel 2
Christine smiles at August as he expresses how much appreciates her candor.
August: I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to share how you're feeling.
Panel 3
Christine looks away and her smile fades slightly. August continues talking but Christine is starting to feel some distance from him.
August: If you ever have a problem, please let me know.
Panel 4
Christine's smile is mostly gone. She looks towards the ground. There's several thoughts going through her head at the moment.
August: You can tell me anything.
She feels even more distant.

Panel 1
August and Christine are out on a coffee date but Christine has been pretty tense. We still can't see what August's shirt says because he's blocking it with his coffee. We'll probably never know what it says and we have to make peace with that.
August: You don't like quiet places?
Christine: They give me too much room to think.
Panel 2
August sips his coffee as Christine explains. August's shirt is unblocked! But the bottom part is still out of sight. We can only see the word Classy.
Christine: Crowds are easier. I can get lost in a crowd. No thinking, just doing.
Panel 3
While August happens to enjoy places with less people around, he can relate to that uncomfortable feeling. You know what makes me uncomfortable? Not being able to read someone's shirt. It is the opposite of classy.
August: Crowds overwhelm me. It's hard to keep track of everything. Then I get awkward.
Panel 4
Christine is starting to feel a little more relaxed.
Christine: Yeah, but you're cute when you're awkward.
August looks away sheepishly.
And they're both facing away from us so once again we don't know what the shirt says. Fine. It's fine. I'm okay. I didn't even want to know what it says. It's probably going to be something anticlimactic anyway.

Panel 1
Christine and August are on a coffee date. The place they're getting coffee is pretty quiet and it's making Christine feel a little uncomfortable. August has noticed this.
August: Are you okay, Christine? You seem tense.
Panel 2
Christine gives August a reassuring smile but decides to be truthful about how she's feeling.
Christine: The quiet in here is a little unnerving. Could we sit outside.
August smiles back and has no problem with sitting outside. And now we can see more of his shirt. The top part says "Classy". What could be written on the rest? This man needs to stop sitting in positions where we can't read his shirt. It is incredibly rude.
Panel 3
August and Christine have moved to a nearby park. It's another place that's pretty empty. The two of them are sitting on a bench with their coffee and silently looking around. August is holding coffee in front of his shirt so we still can't read the bottom part.
Panel 4
Christine doesn't like the silence and speaks up suddenly.
Christine: Now I'm tense and cold.
August has lifted his coffee slightly and we're able to see a little more of the writing on his shirt but it's not obvious what is says. Seriously, why even wear a shirt with writing on it if people can't even read it?

Panel 1
Christine has arrived at a coffee shop where she's going to have a coffee date with August. She's feeling a little apprehensive about it. An old man is sitting and reading the paper. Or he would be if there were words written on it. Seriously, there's nothing on the page. Is he a spy? Perhaps we will never know.
Christine (thinking): Not a lot of people here. Feels too intimate for a first date.
Panel 2
Christine sits down and starts thinking about things.
Christine (thinking): Maybe this is a bad idea. I could reschedule.
August can be seen through the window. He's wearing a shirt with writing on it that looks like it will be conveniently blocked from sight until the last part of this multiparter. He's heading inside the coffee shop.
Panel 3
Christine is caught up in her thoughts. She feels uncomfortable with how quiet the coffee shop is.
Christine (thinking): It's too quiet here. Is he still coming? I should stay. What if-
August: Hello!
Panel 4
Christine is suddenly pulled out of her thoughts.
Christine (thinking): THANK GOD! No more sitting with my thoughts!
Christine: Hey!

Sinds 7 oktober 2023 is hun situatie enorm verslechterd.

Jargon - Gator Days
Characters
Iris - Boar - A no nonsense woman who works in accounting.
Catrick C. Cattington IV - Catfish - He might be a CEO of a company who is worth millions of dollars but he is just like you!
Stuart - Quokka - A perpetually smiling Sectional Manager. He tackles every problem with motivational corporate speak intended to maximize collaboration and synergies among all employees.
Transcript
Panel 1
Iris and Stuart are showing their boss some fancy new numbers on a fancy tablet. The tablet makes the numbers feel extra fancy. He seems pleased by them and explains what he wants to happen next.
Catrick: Good numbers! Let's pivot our telecommunications to touch base with core demos.
Stuart: Yes, sir!
Panel 2
Catrick begins to leave and finalizes his instructions.
Catrick: Circle back after my bandwidth consultation. Streamline those CRMs.
Stuart: On it!
Panel 3
Iris and Stuart stare at the door. Iris has her usual cranky expression while Stuart is grinning far harder than usual. This is a good sign that Stuart is not having a great day.
Panel
Iris decides that she needs to ask the big question.
Iris: What exactly does he want us to do?
Stuart: I DON'T KNOW!
Stuart is master of corporate speak but his powers useless in the face of someone is using most of the words incorrectly.
