This. Which is why we need tangible examples ASAP.
Also, why are we calling it the AMOC? We might as well call it the gobsterblatz or kerfufflesnarts for all the good that AMOC communicates.
GAH.

I am wondering how successful we can all be with the biosphere in ruins.
Your chart's above look like Europe can expect between 40 and 80% crop loss over 100 years following the collapse of the amoc?

If you want a data center, install solar to get one. It's really that simple.
Ugh ... I have a substack. It's just sitting there I have to fix it. Maybe beehiv.
This is really helpful! I talk about climate change in the US and in Oregon and other states. I work at the grassroots level. These reports are great, but without actual examples it's just more information, and information doesn't work. I need specifics as to what's going to happen on the ground.
We need a one sheet. We need it to be regional.
Is there anyone who has a breakdown of what this will really look like on the ground? We know about the amoc but how do we communicate what that actually means. What will the new temperatures be? What will they be, and what can we expect different regions to look like following collapse?
Nearly 100 protesters were arrested during a demonstration calling on Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand to block the sale of thousands of U.S. bombs to Israel.
I don’t even have words for this.

I don't see any reporting on this, except for a credit to the "free press". I'm very curious to know the source of this information.

The insurance premium for me & my toddler is $1100/mo. I went to a doc, @bluecrossmn.bsky.social paid $39. I owe $364. Outrageous.
Cherry on top: they labeled her ‘uninsured’. She owes $355.
