My heart is with all those affected by the Epic layoffs. Absolutely horrific stuff from Epic. If anyone needs advice on how to navigate a layoff or an ear to listen my inbox is open.

to laid off people, pls make sure to apply for unemployment when u can. not sure how it works for different states but in WA you can claim unemployment up until a year after you apply, and usually you'll have about 8-9 months of claims

It's extra cruel to get laid off now, in 2026. Remember how we'd all scramble to help devs caught in the first layoffs? Resume reviews, recommendation lists, dedicated discords and recruitment calls. After *years* of layoffs, the will to help is still there but the opportunities aren't

I'm sorry but if you have 4,000 employees and your revenue is 6 billion, you make 1.5 million per employee and if you can't make a profit margin there, you are simply embezzling it.
