I grew up a Rams fan, raised by a Rams fan. But when Colin Kaepernick took a knee for justice, I bought my son his jersey—and it’s still the only 49ers jersey in our home. Meeting him at ASU+GSV was surreal. I got to thank him in person for the impact he’s had on my family and on the world.

It's a New Year's tradition! I have my Ss design an index card with their word on it and a short, reflective paragraph on the back. I put them up on the classroom wall as a physical reminder of their commitment to themselves. For several Ss, it feels like a welcome fresh start. Important in MS!
