So the cheapest option (not at high risk of disappearing down a stomach one day) for service jobs like delivery would be to have some of the most dangerous preds do the job with a business thumbs up to eat anyone they want if theyre hungry.

I think that it usually makes more world building sense for it to be the opposite way around.

In a world where getting eaten is just a risk, and a minority are great at the eating... one type of job that has a reason to not pay the preds extra is one that can offer them a large collateral menu.
