My progress isn't good enough for me to feel comfortable giving advice on how to learn. I'd suggest finding an adult who has learned to a higher competence than me and asking them for advice.
I don't want to send you down any wrong paths.
Do let us know how you get on if you take lessons.Good luck!

Zohran Mamdani on CBS — “Socialist politics can flourish anywhere, because there is only one majority in this country, and that is the working class. It’s time we have a politics that puts them at the heart of what we’re doing, not in the appendix.”
America’s Mayor can’t miss.
It's wonderful that there are so many resources available for people who want to learn Irish and do what they can to inject a few words back into their daily life. But seeing it spoken effortlessly by the communities that live and breathe it every day is something magical.
Twice today I saw conversations on doorsteps carried out entirely in Irish. It was genuinely moving to see. Gaeltachts are special places. We need to be investing more in protecting them and ensuring the language and culture can survive and thrive in the communities that nurture them. #Spéirgorm
A group photo of about 50 people, many of them wearing purple under a beautiful blue sky. Míde Nic Fhionnlaioch, the Social Democrats candidate int he Galway West by-election is at the centre
Two men and one woman pose for a selfie. They are all wearing purple. They represent the Clare branch of the Social Democrats.
3 women sit at a table in from of a purple banner that reads "The Left Bank" and features a fist raised high. The speakers in the photo are Professor Deirdre Curran, Sinéad Gibney, and Míde Nic Fhionnlaoich.
The Clare branch were thrilled to lend a hand for today's Day of Action for Míde Nic Fhionnlaoich, our amazing candidate in the Galway West by-election. The reception on the doors was wonderful and the enthusiasm among the volunteers was electrifying. Let's get Míde elected! #spéirgorm
What a tone deaf thing to say. I live rurally and I now spend €224 a month on my half hour bus trip to get to work. In Dublin my half hour commute to work on the bus cost me €80 a month.
So do tell me about these subsidies and benefits I'm supposed to be getting for living rurally Leo?
I do not want to create an account or open a subscription I just want to buy a thing and never hear from you again why is this so hard.
I don't recall any previous transformative technologies that had to be sold to the public so hard. No one in 1999 was going, "Guys. Cell phone? It's coming, whether we like it or not. I think it's important, FOR WOMEN ESPECIALLY, to learn about cell phone. So that we're not left behind!!"
A minister for communications who cannot communicate should be sacked.
It's that fucking simple.
Can't say I know the history as I'ma blow in, but on venting about it to local community members they IMMEDIATELY knew who I was talking about without naming him. He clearly has form in punching down.
Wouldn't be surprised if he has Leo's old "Welfare Cheats" sign hidden in his attic just waiting for the right moment.
Local "Independent" Councillor is threatening to put down a motion to stop social housing in response to some criminal incidents in the town.
Imagine my surprise when I found out he's formerly of Fine Gael. You can take the man out of the Blueshirts, but you can't take the Blueshirts out of the man.
Threatening to withhold investment in response to behaviour borne of social deprivation is draconian. It achieves nothing but pitting community members against each other. We address social problems in neglected areas by investing in them, not by punishing them for their own deprivation. #Spéírgorm

A screenshot from the Pobal Map demonstrating the Pobal HP Index for a more localised area of Kilrush Co. Clare. It shows an index of -15.85 (Extremely Disadvantaged)
Conflating social housing with criminality is divisive and inexcusable. Kilrush is one of the most deprived areas in the country, scoring - 15.85 on the Pobal HP Deprivation index, with some areas of the town scoring as low as -36.52 (Extremely disadvantaged). #Spéirgorm
We are appalled at the suggestion by Cllr Ian Lynch that he is " ...at the point of putting down a motion to stop delivery of social housing until we can manage our existing stock...". The comments were made in response to recent criminal incidents in the town.

Still plenty of work to do mind!
Disappointing High Court judgment today suggesting deportation of a parent is less traumatising for a baby than it would be for an older child
If only there was some history in Ireland of enforced separation between babies and parents that might have suggested a different conclusion

Dublin Central by-election candidate Daniel Ennis discusses his path into the world of politics.
Had another chat with them today and I'm about 2 haircuts shy of getting them to lead the socialist revolution
Bigotry against Travellers is where many Irish racists cut their teeth.
This is the question I constantly ask of pro-AI people, like I know someone who constantly talks about how integrated it is into his work now, and I ask them, "what are you going to do when the tools are no longer available because Anthropic goes bankrupt?"
Yup. And when the crash comes, the tech companies will be laying people off left, right, and centre. Companies that we're especially reliant on here because we overdid it on US DFI.
So much worse. The state are going out of their way to enable data centres to facilitate this stupid industry. So much wasted investment.

I don't know why I keep thinking of this film where the holy men are forced into a decisive battle with Satan in the guise of an American politician🤷♂️
Did you know you can pop a nice card in the post to a senator Eileen Flynn

Maybe forcing people to build their creative careers on private online infrastructure that can and does collapse semi-regularly wasn't the best of ideas actually
