Why can't Jeff Landry accept that Louisiana voters said No?
"This package would leave us with massive budget gaps to fill. The bills are part of a larger plan to resurrect one of the amendments that voters rejected by a 2-to-1 margin on March 29."

"Economists say the proposals would leave lawmakers with a massive shortfall of $590 million in 2027 when they meet to pass the budget and later have to face voters."
This is the resurrection of Amendment #2 — which we already overwhelmingly said NO to.

What’s worse? They’re actively looking for ways to avoid you getting to vote again. 😡 How little respect do you have to have for the citizens who elected you to not take NO for an answer?
LA House of Reps: 225-342-6945
LA Senate: 225-342-2040
Remember the amendments you all rejected just 2 months ago?
Jeff Landry got his buds in the legislature to reintroduce them in little bits — like we wouldn’t notice. 🤨
You know what to do. Call your Reps and Senators today, and tell them: #SayNoToThemAll! ❌
The strength of the opposition is certain to send shockwaves through the Louisiana political world and serves as a first referendum on Landry’s rocky first two years in office, after he took office with a record-low vote total.
Saturday’s vote sends a resounding message that the agenda behind these amendments never had a mandate and that voters are sick of being lied to, shut out, and taken for granted.
The defeat of the amendments is also a huge blow to Governor Jeff Landry, who pushed the changes to the constitution after failing to call a constitutional convention year.
This is a win for democracy and a win for the people of Louisiana. Voters saw through the smoke and mirrors and saw that these amendments were not written with our interests at heart.
YOU DID IT, LOUISIANA! 🏆
We want to thank everyone who supported our efforts and contributed to the defeat of ALL 4 amendments.
If elected leaders want to make changes to our constitution, we the people have two words of advice:
Do better.
#SayNoToThemAllYall #lagov #lalege
Despite the spin that the Governor and his allies are trying to make stick, the fact is that voters all across the political spectrum in Louisiana soundly rejected his continued efforts to manipulate the state constitution to serve the interests of corporations at our expense
Saturdays’s victory proves that we win when we show up and fight
They thought they were going to pull a fast one.
They thought they could sneak in these shady amendments without anyone noticing.
They thought they could get away with an easy win.
But YOU showed up and YOU said #NoToThemAll ✊
Thank you Louisiana, you did it! ✅🎉
#Louisiana just called @JeffLandry's bullsh*t.

In a stunning rejection of Republican Gov. Jeff Landry, Louisiana voters turned down all four of his constitutional amendments Saturday, including the governor’s plan to overhaul the state’s tax and budget laws, @jsodonoghue.bsky.social and @greglarose.bsky.social report
The people showed up. The people spoke. The people won.
📣 Jeff Landry failed. Corruption failed. All 4 amendments failed.
🗳️ When we organize, when we vote — we win. #lalege #lagov
In a stunning defeat for Gov. Jeff Landry, voters rejected all four constitutional amendments he had been pushing on Saturday's ballot by 24 points or more.

No to the mall. Today
Steady trickle of ppl at 9th ward, precinct 16 already!
(I don’t usually do anything early but we have a furniture delivery coming later today so I was forced to lol)
These amendments are designed to be deceptive. Politicians omitted parts and resorted to shady workarounds because they lacked support. And these same legislators don’t even fully know what’s in them. 😵💫
Do they deserve your vote? Absolutely not. 🙅 VOTE NO. 🚫
#SayNoToThemAllYall #GeauxVote
Remember:
❌ Amendment 1 → Kangaroo courts for politicians & their friends.
❌ Amendment 2 → Tax scam with misleading language that guts education & transportation funding.
❌ Amendment 3 → Puts more kids in adult prison.
❌ Amendment 4 → Lets them cherry-pick judges.
Louisiana — the day is here! 🙌🏼
Now is the time to make your voice heard, stop the Baton Rouge insiders from passing these shady amendments, and SAY NO TO THEM ALL. 🚫
