Just realized I need to grab a stack of dominos to use for my theta sequence lecture. Put dominos in a line upright, push on one end, they all fall one way. Push on opposite end, they fall other way. Can use to talk about SWR replay too, since if they're too apart, they won't fall, just like no STDP

I take it more literally than that actually and argue that by understanding the organizing principles (such as context) that guide neural state space, we can purposely manipulate those things to improve our cognition.
Me using neural state space to teach people how to improve their lives.
BTW, this is data from our lab showing the brain keeping track of time, so it's a literal neural timeline behind me.

We are a rich enough country to be funding 37% of all basic research proposals, not just considering "the best" 37% and then maybe only funding 12% in the end.
A crappy, ugly curiosity for which there's no clear purpose, oh and it comes dripping with confusing aggressive political messaging. Really, what's not to love?
