My intern pondered whether he would become more conservative as he got older. I told him I’ve become more liberal as I’ve aged. Because the more I understand how the world works, incl how awful conditions are too often awful by choice, the more I embrace ideas calling for radical, positive change.

As much as I miss Elliot Cadeau playing at UNC (just imagine what he and Wilson could have done this season), he’s crushing it at Michigan and I really hope he gets a national championship.

We can do such amazing things; they make us so much better. And we are doing so few of them compared to what we could choose to do.

What a heartbreaking and tender moment in the capsule when they paid an emotional tribute to Astronaut Wiseman’s deceased wife by requesting a crater be named for her. The whole crew hugged him and wiped away their own tears.

Watching the excellence of UCLA’s seniors makes me miss the days when the men’s side also built real teams for the long haul and didn’t settle for one-and-dones and single-season transfer portal players.

Way to go Bruins!!

It’s remarkable how much chapter 1 rings true today re: biotechnology and regulation. Like nothing has really changed in over 30 years.

It’s true. All Boozer had to do was clutch the ball as tightly as possible and wait to get fouled. Get the ten second call? Who cares? Game would be over.
