if you read between the lines, you can see that the mimic is purposefully misinterpreting the commands and being an asshole intentionally. not one point did "break apart your body to become a spider" and "hide in a costume rack to stalk a teenager and snap their head off" become a command

this is very accurate to mimics character. dudes just an asshole and is entirely aware of his actions
