I worked really hard to get that flower centered. Also: there’s two flowers hiding in the front waist darts!

My lesson learned with this one was not to pair drapey fabric with a structured pattern.
I was struggling with what to do with this fabric I was gifted, and then I decided to lean in. Now I have the perfect dress for picnics and any Italian restaurant patios I might visit this summer!!
I had this weird old jersey that I couldn’t figure out what to do with, and then I realized: Romper is The Way.
I need lime buttons STAT. Also: someone pour me a margarita!!
My limes romper is going to be everything I hoped it would be. I can already taste the poolside margaritas…
Whipped up this sweet little 1950s frock. I’m enchanted by the full-cover-apron-esque construction.
This shirt has been an epic adventure! Now I’ve added bust darts, messed it up twice, had to rip out and re tailor the arm holes and in doing so took the whole thing in by four inches. Went from boxy to fitted, 99% less dowdy. I learned so much from this one!
Thanks!
My husband opened our wine bottles with sabrage.
Added - ribbon bow, darts, and pulled in the shoulder seam an inch… 33% less dowdy.
Should I add darts? I loved the gauziness of this vintage fabric at first, but now this shirt feels a little dowdy.
Underwing Mitts.
Knit with leftovers from a few other projects, because that’s how I roll.
I was not into the pattern’s collar…. It’s just too much. Very pleased with my Peter Pan version!
Yep! Also “Secret Pajamas” is my new favorite term.
I’m pleased with this use of Jersey.
Quickie FO: Fingerless mitts featuring the Underwing Moth.
IF ONLY!
Lol, thanks! Yeah, you’re right! it’s funny how even something really complicated can be therapeutic… because it’s just for me, something that isn’t produced for someone else or on a deadline. To be fair: it looks more complicated that it actually is.
Fingers crossed!!
This one will be one of my MN state fair entries this year.
Not gonna lie, I've always wanted to knit a ridiculous pair of vintage lace gloves, and this pink dress might be just the excuse to do so.

This picture does not do this collar justice. I’m so proud of it!!
Next up? How can I resist this ridiculous fabric?
I want to make this little duo next, with a yellow with purple polka dot for the romper and a purple for the skirt that would also match the blue flower shirt.
Just need to see on the buttons and finish turning the hem.
Next up! Vintage pattern and vintage fabric.
This was a pretty straightforward FO: a slinky, summery, surplice wrap dress. Just in time for spring! I was smitten by the fabric and immediately knew it was right for this pattern.
Aw, thanks!! I learned a lot.
