For Diversity week, P1s have been celebrating our differences! We spoke about how we are all unique and special in our own ways.

Fun phonics & Spelling in Literacy groups this week in P2
P1s enjoyed their second outdoor learning today! We talked about safety and rules and visited our local forest.
We enjoyed working in a team and building a den, a bridge, climbing trees and exploring the nature! 🌳🪵🍃
P5 loved their trip to Stirling Castle today. What a fab first day back from the holidays and a great way to bring the topic, Scottish wars of independence, to life. We learned even more during our handling session and tour with the castle”s fabulous learning assistants. Ask us what we enjoyed most!
Primary 3 had a fantastic time taking part in an Easter STEM challenge, working collaboratively with a partner to build a tower strong enough to hold an egg! 🐣
Well done to everyone for their creativity, and a special well done to the groups who successfully met the challenge—what an achievement! 👏

Primary 4 had an amazing time at Linlithgow palace today! We were so lucky to have Gordon from the rangers service. Mrs Milne was so proud of Primary 4 for being so respectful and superstars today!
Year 3 had an incredible morning immersing themselves in an African drumming workshop! The energy was high, engagement was fantastic, and there was so much fun all around 🥁✨

Primary 4 were so lucky to have a visit from the author of ‘The Boy the Witch & The Queen of Scots’ Barbara Henderson. We have absolutely loved reading this book as part of our topic and the class were thrilled to have Barbara visit us! She was so engaging and a joy! @scattyscribbler.bsky.social
P5 had the biggest surprise ever when Miss Moore popped in to let us meet baby Mila! She is absolutely adorable and we loved meeting her and seeing you again, Miss Moore! ❤️
Primary 3 had a sweet maths lesson yesterday! 🍫
We used a bar of chocolate to explore fractions, breaking it into equal parts and learning how they fit together. The best part? Getting to enjoy a little taste at the end of our hard work! 😄
P1 had great fun at the Zoolab this morning! We enjoyed learning about different animals and holding them. All children were very brave!
P2 star writers are delighted with their certificates today for their wonderful descriptions of Granny Island or Granny Mainland
This term P1 have been learning about food. Today, we had a special visitor who taught us about potatoes and farms. Then, he showed us how to grow potatoes in class. Many of us prepared the soil.
Over the next month, p1s will monitor the growth and water the potatoes!
P5, inspired by images online and in books, created art for their topic display wall. I am sure you will all agree, a job well done! All individual pieces, all very different and all depicting a key person or a key battle from the Scottish Wars of Independence. So much creativity P5!
Primary 3 had a lovely class party today to celebrate Ava’s last day with us. 🎉 She will be greatly missed, but we wish her every success and happiness in her new school. Good luck, Ava – we know you’ll do amazing things! 🌟
P1 enjoyed some sunshine today! We went into our school garden to see the different changes in Spring. We noticed some flowers growing, sun shining and leaves growing again on trees. P1s were very excited about this!

P1 had a lovely afternoon for NYCOS. They enjoyed musical games, dancing and singing! 🎵
P2 had a musical afternoon with our NYCOS visitor. Lots of singing games and turn taking. We can wait til next week! 😁
P2 are fantastic thinkers and worked so hard on their Builiding thinking classrooms problem today. Great team work , sharing and listening! Mrs Nolan & Mrs Hunter were so proud ! 😊
Today P5 were learning about the difference between the English and the Scottish soldiers during the Scottish Wars of Independence. Inspired by what they had learned, they went on to show great creativity and teamwork while creating their own battle equipment out of a variety of junk materials.
We have been very arty and creative in P3 today. Painting sunsets for our Egypt silhouette art and making ancient Egyptian jewellery. We can’t wait to show off all our hard work to our families at our Sharing the Learning next month 🤩
P3 had a ball during their scooter session on global play day 🤩
Global Play Day in P1 was so fun! We enjoyed playing with our friends this morning, a scooter session with Shani and a visit to the nursery.
P5 had a blast, playing AlLL day to celebrate Global Play day! Some great games played, including chess and Monopoly. Lovely to see the teamwork, sharing and imagination used. What a buzz about the class!
