That power armor better be painted different colors. We need to be able to tell them apart.

So a veteran raider and I watched a young crew try to stick up an Enclave patrol unit. I heard the veteran tell the young guns that it wasn't a good idea. The patrol had one suit of power armor, plasma and gauss weapons. They had pipe weapons and the bravado was short lived.

It do be like that sometimes. Especially with Demi-Cryptids.

I'm sick in Flatwoods and partially quarantined. This would be fine with regular nursing staff but 76F is watching over me. She is the most qualified but every time she walks in here she says, "It's time, Lieutenant." Like she is here to smother me.

It was a quiet day all things considered. The Fasnacht celebrations appear to be quieting down. It is a new day tomorrow and unfortunately; I seem to be coming down with something. I guess a night in Flatwoods is in order.

76F was running a fever today so she didn't run a patrol or tend to any medical duties. She mostly stayed in her office and did paperwork. She did say, "You answer for this." But she probably didn't mean that. Right?

It's another cold night but just like the night before we were prepared. This time with radstag stew from some radstags harvested by some generous hunters. I even got to read the bedtime story and 76F kind of teased me for it. Even the Feral Scouts joined us for dinner.

We brought some of the heaters out again as the weather suddenly got colder. There is some light snow but we got ahead of it and everyone in Flatwoods is snug for the night. Goodnight Appalachia, you did good today.

Whatever happened to that trader with red hair, she mostly wore a hood and maybe goggles? I know she had the best kept fingernails I'd ever seen. I miss trading with her. Oh she had this charming accent, I'd listen to her read a maintenance manual. I hope she is doing okay.

This cold is biting but we got boilers running overnight so the radiators in Flatwoods can keep the folks warm. Boilers also help with hot beverages and soup making. So safe out there.

I sleep with my back to her and I respect my boss. She has great pillows.

Impromptu bedtime story reading tonight. Temperatures dropped quickly and people were huddled up until we could get heat going. Sharing bunks is helpful but kind of scary when you gotta bunk with the boss.

I told Antlers a joke and she almost laughed. Almost.

Bunk house is full. I'm sleeping in the offices tonight. Get some rest and see you out there Appalachia.

They apologized for the attempt and said that wouldn't be the last I saw of them. Weird.

I was walking on a trail near the Alpine River Cabins when I really had to sneeze. So I did and then I heard a "Bless You" from behind a turned over 4x4 further down the trail. It was three guys, one in an incomplete power armor suit, prepared to ambush me.

Okay, so my schedule should be clear until February. Then I have to contend with Fasnacht and Valentine's Day. Let us hope for a quiet month till then.

I dozed off in the CO's office space after hitting the food line. She woke me up about an hour later and we went over the debriefing. I'm putting in my supply requests for patrols tomorrow then going to bed.
