A little sweetness to lift your spirits
Fascism at work. He should have been arrested and charged with so many things, and this is not the least of his crimes.
🤣
I was just reading this morning about how cooperative and kind plants are to each other and to bacteria, fungus, and insects. Poor Darwin could only see competition but scientists are now beginning to see cooperation and kindness. Let’s do more of that.

I feel like we are going to be needing this perspective a lot.
I also agree that it is time for a new approach. Doing what has always been done is definitely not going to get us anywhere good. We need brilliant, excellent, creative leadership. Can Democrats give us that? Can’t say I’ve seen much of that from Democrats in my lifetime. Republicans neither.
At the same time, people expect immediate results. They are already frustrated by a lack of response from Democrats. Will they wait through a strategic retreat like this? Or feeling abandoned, will they be moved to violence? I am concerned they will take silence as lack of leadership.
Wow, I’m all over the place with the thoughts I have about this article. First off, I respect the idea of strategic retreat. I suspect that the group behind this coup has been planning their takeover for decades, possibly longer. We aren’t going to bring them down by flailing around.
That picture made me blink! Possibly the most unique still life I’ve ever seen.

Democracy requires both discipline and hard work. It is not easy for individuals to govern themselves. . . . It is one thing to gain freedom, but no one can give you the right to self-government. This you must earn for yourself by long discipline. ~Eleanor Roosevelt
Oh, America realizes. 😩
