So good! I haven’t seen PECKER in at least 20 years and I should revisit it. I always thought that Eddie Furlong was very good in his roles and I wish he’d had a better life in the years after this. The whole cast is charming in this film. John Waters rules.

Amazing! I’ll get this audiobook. I’ve read it twice and I think it stands up to further study. This is an incredibly good book. It’s not an “easy” read though. The text expects the reader to ingest it regardless how alarming that may be. I’m actually envious of Joe’s talent while celebrating it.
When I think of Kathy Acker, I wonder what she might have given us had she lived a lot longer. Her work opened my mind so much as to what literature can do—like jaw on the floor the first time I read Blood and Guts in High School.

We had an old stone-walled baseball stadium in a park near my home and i would frequently climb to the top of the wall and then walk around the stadium, balancing on top of the fairly narrow wall. I am now terrified of heights and cannot believe that I did that and never fell. Horrifying.
