Today, my work in Virginia's legislative session came to an abrupt end after our pro-solar bill died in Senate subcommittee. While we expected an uphill battle this session, our toughest battles were against Democrats. One Dem (McPike) voted against us, and one Dem abstained (Locke). Till next time.

Yesterday, after the service, I felt cathartic. I was able to be honest with myself in front of the crowd, and preach. It was (is) exhausting, and I still feel tired. I always feel tired. But today I feel despondent. She's still dead. And I doubt anyone walked away encouraged to be a better person.

Few people knew her and very few knew her well. Nurses, social workers, pharmacists, medical technicians and so on were part of her life, but she was our world. We thank them for treating her with dignity and respect.

Forever in my heart, my baby girl. 🕊️
