Jay Bhattacharya has ordered that a paper showing the effectiveness of COVID19 vaccines in preventing severe disease and hospitalization be suppressed and hidden.

This man has been crying nonstop about political censorship for 6 years.

But he’s the one who is actually doing it.

For those of you who arrived at your polling station and are still waiting in live to vote for fair election maps in Virginia. Stay in line. The cutoff time is 7pm, but if you got there before that then you still get to vote.

Do not leave until you’ve had a chance to vote!

I’m not sure how that has anything to do with putting a pop-up charger in. It sounds like you’re saying everyone should be denied access to something incredibly useful just because some humans are idiots. 🤷‍♀️

The dumbest thing is it won’t cost the council anything. They’d prob even MAKE $$ by charging for a permit or something equally stupid. These are paid for by the home owner - I bet they’re frozen into immobility by trying to work out how to permit that when they otherwise ‘own’ the ground. So dumb 🤷‍♀️

As a matter of principle, you can either have a dinner that celebrates the First Amendment or you can have a dinner that features Donald Trump. You can’t have both because the president holds the freedom of the press in contempt. www.mediamatters.org/donald-trump...

Kevin Warsh just lost me. He argues he's going to be an independent Fed Chair, but refuses to acknowledge that Trump lost the 2020 election. If you can't state simple facts when you're in the political spotlight, you aren't independent. You're a coward.

A big majority in Parliament - a 25% gas export tax is a no-brainer for $10B a year. Albo and Jim Chalmers, don't let a good crisis go to waste. Fix Budget, reshape Australia #auspol

Magyar Péter (Ne féljetek) *

@magyarpeterMP
Until 31 May, the Orbán puppets may voluntarily step down from their positions. This applies to the President of Hungary, the President of the Curia, the President of the National Office for the Judiciary, the President of the Constitutional Court, and the Prosecutor General.
On 12 April, the Hungarian people voted for a complete political transformation.
If these officials do not step down voluntarily by 31 May, then - on the basis of the mandate received from millions of Hungarians — we will remove them from office.

Electric utes are flying out the door right now. We see them everywhere when we’re camping so they’re very capable of doing everything Aussies want. Including towing caravans. The ‘Aussie weekend’ isn’t in any danger from anything other than ridiculous non-access to charging at home.

Exactly. They have their heads in the sand regarding EVs. I’m pretty sure EVs are here to stay (on a boom more likely) so I don’t know wtf is wrong with Councils.

Yep - one of the manufacturers is keen to help anyone who’ll take on some advocacy, but good for them, they’ll make money from it but at least they have the know how and are willing to go for it.

It absolutely is. Why don’t local Councils allow ppl to pay for their own kerbside pop-up EV chargers when they don’t have off-street parking at home? Oh, because the Council ‘owns’ the nature-strip. Instead ppl resort to highly dangerous make-dos. It’s so dumb it makes me want to scream! #auspol

Councils will only install them here onto power poles (which in my street are right next to driveways where you can’t park so unsurprisingly they haven’t installed any). They won’t even allow us to pay for our own pop up kerbside charger.

Agree - it’s so frustrating that something so doable stops people actually being able to buy an EV. Some of the ‘make do’s’ people are using in desperation are just plain dangerous.

There is only one Council in Victoria running a trial with the manufacturer (Port Phillip) & from what I can tell the rest do not allow it. I know mine doesn’t. It’s ridiculous.

I want someone (anyone really) to let me put in a pop-up kerb charger so I can charge my own car outside my own house (we don’t have off street parking). Do they exist? Sure. Will the council allow it? No. Is there any other legal way to charge an EV off our abundant solar power at home - no. WTF?

There is also no way to legally charge your car at home if you don’t have off-street parking. Councils have been appallingly slow at approving things like pop-up kerb chargers & anything else that would allow on-street charging at the private home level. We don’t have an EV for exactly that reason.

It really is that awful. I don’t know why no one teaches us about this considering how many people experience depression first hand. Like a nightmare you just watch passing by. And it’s not till you’re on the way out that you can even feel like the worst of the worst -totally the best final kicker 🙄

What you have to understand is that the United States started a war, almost immediately lost it, then began the laborious process of negotiating against itself, and is now settling into the secondary denial phase …
