The Trump regime doesn’t like the Southern Poverty Law Center labeling hate groups as hate groups, so it’s weaponizing the Justice Department to try to destroy the SPLC. This is DOJ taking the side of the Klan.
The SPLC was one of the first organizations I joined when I politically came of age.
What a heinous act, by the DOJ, to try to discredit & destroy the organization that has played such a prominent role in the pursuit of justice in the deep south.
The message is don’t hire consultants, don’t rely on institutions, call Trump. He even says Cook got results “without a dime” going to expensive consultants. That is a public pitch for direct personal supplication as the route to favorable government treatment.
