I think they'd be really cute together because they fundamentally understand what it's like to be seen as strange or misshapen in this world, but do not let it turn into hate or frustration. Bebop is a golem made from scrap, a scrap years robot with feelings. Many people are prejudiced against him and for him into the box of being nothing but a warrior... In reality, while he is good at fighting, he's a sweetheart who loves the woman who created him as if she were his own mother. He cooks for her, buys her medicine, and all of his battles are fought so he can pay for her medical treatments. Valerian is a vampire prince who does not follow the blood sucking rules. He's empathetic and cares for all life, he could never bring himself to take blood from another. In this way, Valerian defies the stereotype/ box he's placed into; feeding off of emotions (ethically) rather than blood. Because of his rank and vampirism, he's often thought of as some prissy, snotty, regal bitch of a person... But in reality, he finds comfort in simple things. Dusty antiques, city lights, rain on soil, the sound of birds chirping, rusted machinery, etc. On top of all of this, he's extremely kind , too. They both are expected to be harsher people than they actually are; deep down, they are two sweetie pies... SECOND REASON They both have one person in their lives who they cherish as a parental figure. Bebop has Ms Shelly, the woman who created him, and Valerian has Asmoth, the butler who saved his life after Valerian saved his. I think they'd really bond over wanting what's best for their parental figures and appreciating how they loved so unconditionally...
