@baldwin.senate.gov thank you for saying what needed to be said about HHS cuts and specifically calling out the cuts to CDC.

We can't agree with you more that you can't slap a slogan on a new agency and continue the work after staff were terminated and programs eliminated.

Can people with the appropriate knowledge and background please start a Program 2026? Like right now? And follow it with a Plan to Restore Sanity 2028?

State Dept’s budget is being slashed. Fulbright scholarships are on the chopping block. What about Peace Corps and Americorps? What about other cultural exchange programs?

They assume we will forget about this and/or the vast majority won’t link health consequences down the line to these cuts. Plus probably fewer scientists left to publish morbidity/mortality data.

You think they would have learned from Gaetz’ Venmo mishaps. I guess not.

There are people who are missing teeth and don’t have dentures/don’t wear them. Survivors of oral cancers missing parts of their throat/tongue. Stroke survivors. Etc. All this affects speech. How are our seniors with speech impairments supposed to be understood by AI?

How AI will interpret MeeMaw’s accent while she’s also hard of hearing and can’t understand it, is beyond me. Keep real people in their jobs so MeeMaw can get her questions answered.

If approximately 1 in 1000 measles cases result in death, there are more than the 150 cases being reported. Many, many more.

It’s very poetic. Like arms reaching towards a barely visible horizon. Beautiful.

Absolutely agree! Ossoff needs to win but a popular Kemp would complicate things greatly.

Not to mention that measles basically wipes out your immune system’s memory. This “amnesia” means your body is now susceptible to other pathogens that it had previously created immunity to.
