Some EV podcast I listened to made the point that instead of offering like 100 KW of free public charging with an EV purchase (like VW did w EA) they should offer to install Lvl 2 home charging for free or cheap and damn do I agree. Make the experience convenient !

IMO- Getting 20 miles of charge overnight from a regular outlet might work 95% of the time but when it doesn’t or you don’t plan perfectly you’re up shit creek. It can be made to work for ppl who really want an EV. To make the case it’s more convenient than gas, I think lvl 2 at home is needed.
