Like even when you account for the negative word of mouth, the game still had an initial playercount of like 100K which is really good and has since fallen down to like 3K. Not only was it a flop, but the expectation that it would be bland was true.

Raycon survives because the average person isn't really good at picking out high quality tech products. So when their favourite youtuber hocks it in an ad read, some people go "well I kinda need new ear buds anyways" and buy them.

It always feels like these projects (at least in Canada) get the bare minimum funding, so there isn't enough pre-pro work done on feasibility checks for new approaches to public transit.

Also local resistance is pretty strong. Even in Surrey in B.C., an LRT line was kaiboshed about a decade ago.

This and Harvey Birdman were peak back in the day. Going through Space Ghost these days is like a "whose who" of artists that never really broke out and the few that did. It really feels like being transported to a completely different era.
