Cold take for sure, but “Wonderful Christmastime” is a four-minute song that feels like it’s eight minutes long.

Today he pointed out a couple of old trees that had fallen, and, delirious with lack of sleep, I told him, “You know, you used to be an old tree” and cracked up.

Anyway, now my personal head canon is that my children at some point in their development were wise, ancient trees. 🌳
