Thanks for letting me know. They used "Gazawood" in a two (2) posts, and were accidentally labelled when I was trying to take action on the "gazawood.bsky.social" account. -- It was an error on my side.

Mike has blocked me, so please let them know I have corrected the issue.

🔹 Anti-Asian Hatred → Anti-Asian Bias

More accurate wording; covers bias, Sinophobic tropes, and stereotypes that don’t always take the form of outright slurs.

🔹 Resist Troll → Liberal Troll

Keeps focus on trollish antagonism from a liberal/centrist stance. “Spam” now lives under Political Spammer.

🔹 Democratic Apologia → Liberal Apologia

Broadened to cover liberal/centrist parties internationally (not just U.S. Democrats).

We’ve shipped updates to the Shadowbanner label set to reduce false positives and reflect how the labels are used in practice. As a result, a few labels were renamed. 🧵

Click on your chat/dm button at the bottom of the app, click the blue circle with the + symbol to start a new chat, and then search my handle. You’ll be able to reach that way.

I’ll submit a request on GitHub to get that fixed.

DM chat settings screen should messages are allowed from everyone, and notification sounds are enabled.

Odd. I just reset them so maybe that fixes it?

Labels are a way to categorize content and users on BlueSky. They are part of the moderation tools but they can be do lots of interesting things like foster community.

But for comprehensive moderation of transphobia on Bluesky, we defer to @asukafield.xyz’s labeler, which is dedicated to that work.

We primarily focus on harmful disinfo, abuse apologia, and scapegoating of marginalized groups. Transphobic content often overlaps with those patterns, so we will label it when it signals the broader harms we track.

I admit being heavy-handed with the “hide” function. To fix it, I’d have to re-review the posts/accounts on my end.

Let me figure this out over the weekend and I’ll get back to you with a proper answer/resolution.
