Spent this morning trying to see patterns in the upholstery on Sydney trains. Thanks, Tasmania.

@elissablack.com OK. I did a dungeon. Terrifying. Love this. Will
come back to it.
@elissablack.com Your game is amazing. I’m basically just looking at tree trunks. And toilets. I cannot stop exploring …
Thanks for the chat! See you at another thing soon!
@chloeappleby.bsky.social Made it to ALT for about 90 mins. Really awesome showcase. Amazing work.
I’m sitting at a gymnastics competition with my phone presently. But. I reckon I will be able to find something later on PC. Infinite Airport Upholstery primed me to notice things, which is a perfect angle for my Level Up TAS article, I think.
Have you seen Infinite Airport Upholstery? (Can’t find a link at the moment but it’s apparently on itch.) It’s the kind of experience that makes me wish I was much much smarter and thus able to write about it. It’s your book in a nutshell.
I had conversations about your book with 3 different people at Level Up Tas this weekend.
Maybe Ex. Or I’ll just try to walk around everything fast.
@mcjones.bsky.social How do I find out?
Surely that’s too much wood for Huon pine.
It’s an interesting theory. And a topic I think about a lot. Something I try to unpack with students, mostly in terms of why they would choose to create art and who they may be connecting with/why. Nice to have a quick chat on Friday night btw! Have a fun talk today.
What do I need to see? I went to Level Up TAS, but I’m hoping to whiz past for about 90 mins this arvo.
Hobart people. @jasonimms.bsky.social The upholstery guy made me notice the furniture in Hobart airport. I found a story about the seats inside but do these seats also have a story? @mcjones.bsky.social You would know this.
Meaningful to the creator, or audience?
People keep telling me this isn’t a thing, haha. So many examples.
Unsurprisingly, I am now getting upholstery ads on Facebook. Literally for the first time ever since I posted this.
Hmm. Thx. Might be cutting it fine but will try.
The thing I just can’t stop thinking about from Level Up TAS is the guy with the game that makes real upholstery.
Ticket says 2.30pm?
@chloeappleby.bsky.social Hellooo. I’ve been in TAS for Level Up TAS. But, I just got tickets for ALT tomorrow. What time is it on until? Have a commitment in morning.
The literal best thing happened, haha. I met Midday Mum. Cc @yarnspinner.dev
Chat any time!
Are you at the event? We met briefly at pax one time, yeah? I’m disappearing in about 2 hrs.
I’m definitely noticing a lot of tourists this time. (I’ve come to Tassie a few times before for the walks.)
Game journalists. Level Up Tasmania. 1000% worth a visit. I’m just about to go in for Day 2. In addition to the great games on show, and intense collegiality of literally everyone, OMG the food. And Salamanca Markets.
I have a jumper, a scarf, and a thermal top.
I’m about to hop on a plane to Hobart and all the people hopping off are in puffer jackets and beanies. 😬 @jasonimms.bsky.social @yarnspinner.dev
Where is my Ms Pac-Lady roguelike?
I did the Three Capes with my son last year in January and I was honestly wearing every item of clothes and was inside a -5 sleeping bag and I still thought I was going to die. One night I thought the sun had gone out on the other side of the earth.
