With the lizard rider finished (barring basing) here's the painted elements of the force so far. I have one more Steeljack to finish off to round out that unit, 6 Thunderkyn, 5 Hearthguard, 6 Pioneers and a Land fortress to paint.

I loved being a dad more than anything, for someone who has never felt fully right in the world and never really fit into "people" settings I finally felt like I was in the right place at the right time being dad.

But in the decade since I havent seen, spoken to or been there for my 2 eldest.

Why didnt I try harder to be around? In truth more than physical distance was the chasm between the parent I would need to be and the wounded animal I was for many years. Nobody needs the embittered person picking at their ex infront of the kids.

And then mentally I just broke

Her mum and stepdad seem to have raised her well from what little I can tell from hundreds of miles away, I still send child support and birthday/xmas money but the person she has grown into will be nothing like the child I knew so long ago.

One day she might want to talk or might not.

Sad thought of the day

I havent seen my eldest daughter is just over 9 years, her mother and i had a very rough divorce that broke me and following that our custody arrangement (not court mediated) broke down and so did I.

She turns 16 in one week, and one day she may come for answers i dont have

I'm thinking of the single rider for the normal version and then having a second rider stood up on the back with a waist tether to the saddle carrying a heavier gun for the rotary cannon.

Thoughts for my Mortua Luna "Drone Pioneers" (counts as Hearthkyn Pioneers), originally made the name for all ironkin pioneers but thought it could be a fun play on the meaning of drone to have bio-mech insect drones as the drones.

I only occasionally paint a model in this fashion, mostly if I'm not sure how the scheme will come together but know I can duplicate it without issue its a way of finishing one "side" first and making sure I'm happy.
