This is just my life with a 3 year old

I think the preferred nomenclature is "dune aficionado"
Things I've said to a 3 year old in Chicago the last few weeks:
"You need to wear a shirt, it's 7° outside"
"You can't wear sandals, it's snowing"
"Please stop taking your baby brother's hat off, he's cold too"
You should see the campaign staff groups chats...
Wisconsin 28 Purdue 21 Nov 6, 1999
Badgers had 72 yards passing and Ron Dayne had 222 yards rushing on 32 attempts
I expect some level of this. I grew up with games like this. But I'm used to it including 7 yds/carry by a 250lb RB
Glad I didn't watch
Wisconsin's leading passer is the kicker
I assume this is a glitch, but really describes Wisconsin's season that the leading passer is the kicker @edsbs.bsky.social @hollyanderson.bsky.social @celebrityhottub.bsky.social @jasonkirk.fyi
Also, as someone who has experience working for a lefty candidate who was actually ratfucked by the establishment...having a nazi tattoo is not being ratfucked by the establishment lol
I'll build the website. It'll be folksy yet polished
Pretty sure this means Tarleton St is a sovereign nation now, right?
Wally Jackson Ave is just sitting there waiting
I don't think they could guard you iso, they'd need to double you up with a guard and a big to prevent you from driving to the hoop. Just my opinion though
REM is probably closest to that kind of run in my mind for quality/influence. Is there a bad album between Murmur and New Adventures in HiFi?
I saw him at Farm Aid in 2011, and he followed up Ohio (on the short list of best protest songs?) with ear-shattering feedback in a metal-roofed dome at a baseball stadium while ranting about factory farming. The real Neil Young Experience
Also we're really living it up on Father's Day aren't we?
It's an interesting extension of the @stevenhyden.bsky.social five-albums test. Springsteen definitely fits that, but does Zeppelin and Neil Young, and even the Rolling Stones (who don't pass the 5 album test according to Hyden) get by with some clunkers in the middle?
Totally agree. As a long time EF fan, their tactics have always been a little... confusing in the grand tours.
I think Carapaz just didn't have anything left. He looked cooked in the sprint at the end.
I just assumed Lil Jon was a fan of NBA Inside Stuff
What kind of hat are we talking about here? Top hat? Bucket hat? Fedora? One of those beanies with the propellor on it?
🎵All you fascists bound to lose🎵
I potentially see 4 categories:
- people up in 26 who are afraid of crypto money (Ossoff)
- people who were just elected who saw how much crypto can spend for/against them/owe a favor from last cycle (Gallego, Schiff)
- people running for President (Booker)
- People who have weird views (Fetterman)
Not that this excuses it, but I see a lot of names of people who are afraid of crypto money being spent against them soon
I've worked on campaigns for a long time at a lot of different levels, but I truly believe the biggest impact we can have is on local elections where the limited time and money means that our campaigning has more impact than other races
These are all important offices that we (Democrats) often ignore, but it's a huge opportunity to do some good and have a big impact with limited resources. We spent a fraction of what a congressional election cost and elected over 200 good people across the state, including in red and purple areas
I just wrote an in-the-weeds blog post about a program I helped run in IL where we won 80% of the races we worked in. We supported candidates for municipal offices like school and library boards, park districts, city councils, and mayors.

Guys trip in 2029?
I think every state should run programs like this. Elect good people to local offices to build a bench AND enact good policy at a local level. Prove to voters that we fight for them everywhere. If you want to help good people win elections, we have tools and templates to help - please reach out!
We won in red areas, purple areas, and blue areas. We pushed back against conservatives and elected good people to school/library boards, city councils/mayors, and more. We can run these kinds of programs in any district for a fraction of the cost of higher profile races, and make a real impact.
We ran a comprehensive program that treated voters like real people and matched message, messenger, and audience to drive people to action, including using our candidate lookup tool where we had over 45,000 lookups.
