What’s your favorite GDT film? Mine’s Hellboy 2. The nonstop creativity of that movie continues to delight me.

I just rewatched Blade II last week. Haven’t seen it in a long time. That movie rules. Most scenes either set up the cool shit you’re about to see. Others explain the cool shit you just saw. And everything in between is cool shit.

A picture of a ghastly face that appears to have been carved into darkness. The inside of the big eyes and big mouth is blue. It’s meant to be a ghoulish twist on a Jack-o-Lantern. The space around the face is meant to look marbled. But doesn’t. I tried.

Don’t limit the art you create. I’m a writer, not a visual artist. But the drawing I’ve done these last few days has opened up space in my brain. And my writing is getting better.

Branch out. Have fun. Make art.
