Only if it spends it recklessly. If govt invests only in productive, non inflationary policy AND employs the various tools that guard against potential inflation well (like taxing), then there is no inflation.
Most inflation is caused by overseas price hikes or disruptions like war or pandemics.
Admitting how the economy really works would mean them losing all their power, wealth and influence. So they avoid it.
