I really(!!!) wish I had a real enough support system in Edmonton that I could tap into that "6-Degrees-Of-Separation" & find someone who'd rent me a garage apt. for the pittance I can afford on welfare, or let me park a tinyhouse\trailer beside their garage (under-the-radar) or something... 🙏
Unfortunately, that level of "boundary setting" is often completely divorced from any kind of "I still have to live here when the police\landlord leaves & now they're also embarrassed, hurt & angry that *I* was the tattletale who got them in trouble & put *their* bullshit at risk." reality check.

I certainly hope that there will be serious court challenges to this UCP scheme. Starting with a request for an injunction to prevent the implementation of any UCP requested changes to constituency boundaries prior to the next Prov. Elxn. It may eventually find its way to the SCC for a ruling.
Elections are about people choosing their representatives, not politicians choosing their voters. Yet that is what the UCP is planning. It is planning to deliberately disenfranchise urban voters. Red Deer and Lethbridge would not exist as autonomous political entities. Calgary/Edmonton hurt too.
There is a reason that we do not have MLAs decide on electoral boundaries. Tossing out the Electoral Boundaries Commission and replacing it with a UCP-dominated committee is not just a bad idea. It is really bad for democracy. Ask the US, ask Hungary. This is not normal!
The UCP LOST all 20 seats in Edmonton and 14 out of 26 seats in Calgary.
No wonder Danielle has to cheat by diluting urban votes.
