A permanent Commissioner still needs to be confirmed through open competition. The job isn't done yet.

Update: the Commissioner is now in post — Air Commodore Polly Miller-Perkins CBE took up the role on 30 March 2026. Glad my written question last December helped keep the pressure on. But let's be clear: this is an *interim* appointment.
