Walked around on Perito Moreno glacier, then the sun came out for photos later 😍 I’m sad to be leaving this beautiful place.

Gonna go see about a glacier today. Last full day in Patagonia 😭 and Argentina… only a short stay in Buenos Aires left 🥺

Leaving El Chalten on as rainy and windy a day as I arrived to. There were a couple good weather days in between though!

Boarding bus 3 of 3. If I get in on time it’ll be 21 hours in total across 2 countries, ~2.5 hours of layovers, 2 shitty coffees, 0 real meals but lots of tasty snacks.

Full day of buses to El Calafate from Ushuaia. Starting at 3am. I didn’t NEED to go this way, but it’s showing me a nice slice of normal life across Argentina and Chile.

Back on land tomorrow AM. I’m feeling that good ole con drop, only the “con” is for “continent”, as in the continent of Antarctica 🤔🇦🇶

On my flight to Ushuaia I met two other solo travelers who are on my Antarctica cruise! We shared a ride to town and had dinner together 💙 I’d been a bit sad to be spending my bday without any of my friends, but I forgot how fast you can bond with people through traveling. 2 days, 21 hours left!

I wasn’t even thinking about the price, but it was only $33 for the meal and wine. With a small tip.

Also, Argentina may be known for steak, but I found a nice fish restaurant!

Two weeks until I leave for Argentina/Antarctica 😱

I just realized that October marks 10 years in IT/cybersecurity 😱 I started as a part time helpdesk/AV support specialist, quickly moved into desktop support, then systems administration at year 3. Meanwhile I got a Master’s in computer science, and switched to cloud security consulting in 2021 💙
