What the fuck

I worked at the old Barnes & Noble in Chelsea during college (it’s a Trader Joe’s now) and one time I rang up Molly Shannon in the music department. She was nice!

This was me with the birds in my parents’ yard last time I visited. I don’t know how they get anything done!

Chiming in to say that it’s sad at points but also really funny and engaging! Dress everyone in their silly French outfits and it takes the sting out of some things!

Following up on this in case anyone is curious - I saw a new neurologist and she prescribed Ubrelvy, which is apparently a fairly new migraine med, and it seems to be working really well! I’m still interested in trying a preventative option too, but it’s been good for as-needed situations.

Saw a 4K restoration of Seven Samurai in the theatre yesterday! The movie was great, but one of the best things was that the line for the men’s restroom was 5x longer than for the women’s restroom, and that was such a rare delight. Lots of old men in that audience.

WHOA what a mess????

That’s the problem with triptans - they work great, but they mess with your seratonin, so I worry about seratonin syndrome. Good to know about the rizatriptan, though! I’m gonna see a new neurologist soon so I’m glad to have the info.

Thank you! I’m past the point of OTC stuff doing enough for migraines, but that’s good to know for other things!

Speaking of, for any folks who also get migraines, what prescription meds do you take? I’ve taken sumatriptan for years, but I’m interested in other options that won’t interact with my SSRI.

I know the jackhammering outside didn’t cause the migraine I woke up with today, but it certainly isn’t helping 😵‍💫

This post reminds me that when I was in Japan, I saw this ad on the subway and it reminded me of Reigen and made me think of you

Oooh Murray’s Bagels in Chelsea is pretty good! Brooklyn Bagel on 8th Ave and 24th is great too. Zucker’s is not my favorite bagel, but the smoked fish is A+ if you want the full experience
