“We always seem to have money for war. But not to feed the poor.”
Posts by Keith Ellison, Minnesota Attorney General
Proud to be endorsed by the DFL Environmental Caucus.
I’ll keep using every tool I have to defend Minnesota’s clean air, clean water, and natural beauty.
More than 100 lawsuits have been filed by @democraticags.bsky.social against the Trump administration.
Because when an administration goes out of control, we are on the front lines—holding the line for our rights, our freedoms, and the resources our communities depend on.
This is what it looks like when we stand up for each other.
Not because it’s easy. Because it matters.
That kind of energy doesn’t disappear after one night. It’s how we move forward, together.
While energy costs continue to rise, the last thing Minnesotans need is illegal cuts to programs that keep energy affordable.
We took it to court.
We won.
And we protected programs that help Minnesotans afford their lives.
Happy Easter Minnesota!
To everyone celebrating, wishing you a joyful day and a season of renewal and hope.
Wishing you a peaceful Easter filled with hope, renewal, and the courage to keep choosing compassion over cruelty. Even in hard times, may this season remind us that light, dignity, and justice can still prevail.
When our communities are threatened, we don’t stand on the sidelines — we come together, organize, and get to work.
DFLers showed exactly what that looks like today at the SD33 Convention.
Twin Cities #NoKings. Organizing in the streets, in the Courts, at the ballot box, on-line, in the cafes, the studios, and wherever else.
One week Ago, Minnesota stood up together as ONE and said no to the Wannabe dictator. So proud of our state. Inspiration Lives Here. #NoKings.
The amazing and legendary Tom Morello. Singer-songwriter of Rage Against the Machine Fame and beyond. #NoKings. Thanks.
First stop today: the SD39 Convention!
DFLers are fired up and ready to build a Minnesota where everyone can afford their life.
Thank goodness we have @ag.state.mn.us let's re-elect @keithellison.bsky.social & keep him!
We defeated another one of Trump’s efforts to misconstrue federal law to force MN to abandon duly passed state laws and become a colder, less caring state.
I will always fight to ensure every Minnesotan can live with dignity, safety, and respect.
For 128 years, birthright citizenship has been the law of the land and a cornerstone of our values.
Because in this country, we are one people. Different in many ways, but united in the promise of liberty and justice for all.
We intend to keep it that way.
Chag Sameach to everyone in Minnesota and across the country celebrating Passover tonight.
This holiday reminds us of the power of community, the importance of freedom, and the enduring hope for a better future.
May your Seder be filled with meaning, connection, and peace.
Today, as the Supreme Court heard this case, I’m standing with families across this country who deserve certainty, dignity, and protection under the law.
Birthright citizenship is more than a legal principle, it’s a promise.
A promise that in this country, you belong. That your future isn’t up for debate. That no politician gets to decide who is “worthy” of being American.
Minnesota showed up.
Because we’re not just here to fight what’s wrong.
We’re here to build what’s right.
We’ve already taken this fight to court once, and we’ll do it again if we have to.
Because in Minnesota, we don’t turn on our neighbors.
And we don’t let politicians target our kids to score cheap points.
Trump is trying to bully trans kids who just want to play on their school teams.
It’s cruel. And I will fight like hell whenever he or anyone else targets Minnesota’s children or trans community.
You may have seen Trump’s DOJ is trying to sue Minnesota again over trans athletes in high school sports.
At a time when Minnesotans are dealing with rising costs, a government shutdown, and real harm in our communities, this administration is choosing to bully kids.
