πΈ Was able to sneak out and enjoy some of the last sakuras in bloom for this season yesterday. πΈ
πΈ Did you know that Berlin has quite a number of sakura trees that were donated by Japan after the reunification? One of the best spots to see them is in the Gardens of the World park. πΈ
There's lots of other things you can write off too like website expenses, your home office if you work at home, any tech/software you buy/subscribe to, fees you pay, etc etc basically any time I have to spend money, I write it in a document π
Last year it rained like every weekend in spring and it looks like that's already repeating this year π© working from home is such a bummer when it's beautiful outside all week just for it to rain saturday and sunday π
Cute!!! Happy birthday! ππ
Apparently some people make like $5-$10k at events, that person is not me as I've learned last year lol
More of my time that I could have spent designing stuff instead of booking hotels, etc. Because my expenses are high (my products cost thousands to produce) Making like $1-$2k at and event and spending $1-$2k to be at the event isn't worth it to me when I need extra funds for product development
2025 I decided to travel more and vend at multiple events and I broke even at most of them but I still need to spend money on making products so breaking even wasn't good enough. All the excess stress and burden of traveling didn't result in a good enough increase of profit for me and took way
For more context, everything I make, I put back into my business. If I do a crowdfund and make $10k, $10k or more goes into making products. Thus why my profit is usually small by the end of a tax year. That's been the case since 2020, I track all my revenue & expenses and have an accountant
I do write those off, I've used an accountant for the last several π this was the result after all my expenses and the revenue I made last year. I'm saying the costs of me traveling was too much in comparison to how much money I actually made at the events that it ate into my normal profit margin
So yeah I think cons are over for me, at least for as long as they stay this expensive...I think I'll only aim for The Great Lace every year but otherwise I just can't justify it really. It's very clear crowdfunding is the most sustainable for me
Filed my taxes and discovered the great irony that the year I traveled to the most conventions is the first year I actually lost money with my shop. Usually I make a little profit even if it's like $300...but all the travel expenses on top of all my already increasing expenses bc of tariffs...
"hi can you recommend any super cheap, ethically made clothes that will last forever and make me feel like a swaddled little baby while also making me look like a super attractive, stylish man, yet take no time or effort to acquire? this is social media, so pls just drop a link."
It, again, truly doesn't matter whether vibecoding actually caused the outages or not - when you start bragging about how claude is making every engineer on staff more productive and the site goes through months of persistent downtime, that's a Statement.
Cancel Reply Forbidden Jay Bluesky is made with Al, the engineers and even some non-engineers use Claude code Can you ask them to stop?

Wow congrats Miguel!!!
A watercolor illustration: Four young bear cubs frolic through a meadow full of tall grass, dotted with big white flowers. You can see the path that each has carved to get to where they are, one just arriving towards the others at the center, one throwing up their hands in delight, one taking a long peaceful smell of a flower, and one up to their neck in the grass, seemingly just basking.
A watercolor illustration: A frog gazes out the window at a winter landscape, their hand touching the cold pane. They are wrapped in a thick comforter, plaid red and orange with a white border, and a steaming hot mug sits on the simple side table next to them, along with an arrangement of dry branches.
A watercolor illustration: A young girl in an acorn-shaped hat, knit sweater, and basket back-pack looks gleefully at a huge assortment of mushrooms sheβs just found, which make up the whole bottom, right, and left borders of the image. Her fox companion looks on curiously, a red ribbon around its neck. The mushrooms are all edible types: turkey tail, nameko, wine cap, enoki, and oyster mushrooms. In the background, fir trees appear yellowish against a yellow early sunset sky.
A watercolor illustration: Against a big blue sky full of fluffy clouds, a sheep waves to a passing dragon, who smiles back, flying in the distance. The sheep wears a thick knit teal sweater, with brown trousers tucked into yellow boots, holding a rake. They stand in front of rows of sprouting vegetables, uphill of some distant houses and trees, and the blue sea is visible even further.

The most bad-ass rebuttal from Tite Kubo, the author of Bleach.
I've been a little obsessed with Pokemon #Pokopia for a while now, so prepare for a fanart miniseries.
#Charmander used to be my least favourite Kanto starter, but it really grew on me through this game. π§‘
