United Auto Workers - Region 9A is on the front line of the battle for economic justice and working class power in New York and I am honored to have earned their support.

The strength of this campaign are the people who power it. Join us: zohranfornyc.com/donate

Completely agreed! A friend told me this take was very “optimism of the intellect”. Maybe that’s true but could also be “will to power” if DSA leadership + UAW etc start discussions asap.

mass mvmts. That’s fine - his campaigns helped spur those movement in the first place.

But now, the left + working class forces need to build the institutions capable of making decisions like who to field + on what program. I hope in 2028 those mvmts can drive, not tail, the strategy.

I agree having a left candidate in general would be a step forward from 2024 (but 2024 was a step back from 2020).

What I mean is that in 2016 + 2020 Bernie chose to run + it kickstarted a new dem socialist mvmt. That was good, but he has never been accountable to or officially representative of

If this workers front chooses AOC as our candidate then she would be representing and accountable to a real popular movement and program.

She doesn’t seem to have interest in collective decision-making and serious organization building, but if we build it she might come along.

I’d like Rashida tho

We should put together a broad workers front for 2028 united behind a basic working class program democratically established and hold an internal “primary” / candidate selection process. DSA can start working toward this along with UAW and other left unions and grassroots orgs.

(Crossposting from x…) AOC deciding to run for Pres would be a step back for the left.

We need to step forward: build the institutions capable of *deciding* our own strategy and candidate for 2028, with a broader base of working people disaffected by our political system, not tail AOC’s decisions.

Also, Kristin’s fellow NPC members from bread and roses are Laura W, an elected leader in her union and shop floor activist, and Alex P, a shop steward for his staff union…

I did not want to DSA post on this app, but the unpleasantness oozing from this thread is quite a shock.

Time to log off and get back to my grading and lesson planning for my union job where I am overworked and exploited, something I know Kristin understands as a fellow educator. ✌️

Kristin is an NPC member from the caucus in DSA w/ the highest percentage of RNF union members of any caucus in the org. Our comrades in Labor Notes, UAWD, etc. agree with her.
You, otoh, don’t know what you are talking abt.

Your claims of union busting are wrong.

We Democratic Socialists of America Won't Apologize Migrants crossing the border are scapegoats for the real threat to the working class: billionaires who profit from a divided labor force.

KIND Bar CEO & billionaire Daniel Lubetzky writes that DSA is the Democrats’ version of Project 2025 — but the working class won’t win by capitulating to lies & the wishes of the 1%. DSA Co-Chair @ahsheek.bsky.social responds in @newsweek.com Socialism BEATS Fascism:

Just got a wayfair ad that said “deals so good it feels like you’re getting away with something.” Yeah, child trafficking.
