I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.

Fellow indie devs: How do you get your apps in front of your target audience? Share your wisdom!
I've also found AI to be a great helper for optimizing App Store Search Ads. I don't love them but they seem to be a necessary evil. I only have a tiny budget to work with and Claude did a great job figuring out where I can use that budget effectively.
I spent some time last night going through Tinseltown analytics with Claude. I'm certainly not an analytics expert, but thankfully @telemetrydeck.com provides an AI-friendly data export. It yielded some interesting insights that should help make Tinseltown better for everyone!
New lock screen
Spending some time today working on a new feature for Tinseltown: Notifications for when titles on your watchlist become available on your streaming services. Hopefully coming soon!
If you haven't tried Tinseltown yet, I hope you'll give it a spin: apps.apple.com/app/id6480349413
Inspired by watching Artemis II head for the moon? Check out this list of movies about space exploration. You can pick Tinseltown from the share sheet to add them quickly to your watchlist 🚀 editorial.rottentomatoes.com/...
Now that I've released the big update, I can take this sign down! Excited to dig into a bunch of ideas that I put off working on.
If you've ever been looking for something new to watch, Tinseltown's new Discover feature is for you. Just describe what you're looking for and Tinseltown will build a list of recommendations, using your watchlist for hints about what sorts of things you enjoy. Try it on your next movie night!
These features two address scenarios I find myself in all the time: "I need something new to watch" or "I want to remember to watch this later." I've found them super useful - I hope you'll give them a try, let me know what you think, and spread the word. 🍿
Discover lets you describe what you want to watch in the style of The Sentence from the old Beats Music app. Tinseltown uses your watchlist to help tailor recommendations just for you. There's also a collection of built-in presets to choose from, and you can save your own presets to be reused later.
Ever wanted to import one of those "what to watch now" articles? Tinseltown can find movies and tv on a page. Here's how:
1. Open the web page in Safari
2. Open the share sheet and tap Tinseltown
3. Select the movies and tv you want to add and tap the Add button at the bottom
Just shipped a big update to Tinseltown that I've been working on for a while! Here's what's new:
📥 Quick add from the web: Find movies and tv from a web page and add to your watchlist
🔮 Discover: Describe what you want to watch and get personalized recommendations

It's officially spring, which means it's time to put away my desktop penguin pal. See you next winter, friend!
Wrapping up a big update to @tinseltown-app.com and had to make myself a reminder.
WWDC 2026 Wish List: Make this a non-modal operation that happens in the background.
This feels personal. 😠
Jesus Christ.
Multiple goons had a man on the ground but that wasn't enough brutality for them. One had to pull his gun and shoot someone who was prone on the sidewalk.
They're going to tell us the agent feared for his life and was justified.
I set up a workout plan in Apple Fitness+, and it's mostly great except for one small but very annoying detail: It sends you reminders but you can't set the time. In true Apple fashion, you're stuck with whatever time it chooses with ✨magic ✨. I don't want to hear about it right when I wake up! 😴
Just asked an AI coding agent to "make it so" and feeling very Picard.
This has happened to me too, and there’s frustratingly little you can do about it. In addition to being a very annoying bug, it’s an example of where iOS’ limitations let it down. On the Mac you can just delete stuff. On iOS, you’re stuck with weird hacks or guesses until/unless Apple ships a fix.
Don't kill people.
That seems like it should be self-evident, but apparently it needs to be said.
Finally caved and bought an Apple keyboard so I can have TouchID at my desk. It's such a huge improvement over typing my password or trying to get watch unlock to work reliably. I really hope someday they'll make a standalone TouchID button or put it in the trackpad!
Aside from Casino Royale, The Incredibles is the best Bond movie this century. Prove me wrong.
This will be an insta-buy 📖
And once again you can only shake your head and wonder how a group of people came together and decided it was a good idea to trade a player and person like this.
I’m somewhat relieved that there’s not something super obvious I’ve overlooked 😵💫
SwiftUI peeps: Is it possible to create a view like the Apple Maps bottom sheet with a search bar at the top and no title using .searchable? I can't seem to get it to work without leaving an awkward empty gap between the search field and the top of the view.
How are we feeling about macOS Tahoe at this point? Are there still issues with installing/updating Mac App Store apps? Design quibbles aside, any productivity deal-breakers?
Excited about the new M5 iPad Pro because I assume the "old" M4 model will soon be available at a discounted price 💸
