I’m funny when it comes to friendship. I think a true friend comes over immediately at 3 am and helps you dispose of the body and asks the questions later.

Not much for the “I’ll keep you in my prayers” type.

One thing I’m sure of is Taco Bell will be better in Germany 🇩🇪 than in the USA 🇺🇸. And I love all the cities they’re opening in (Cologne and Frankfurt are my two favorite cities in the country), so I’ll be good. Rest assured, they won’t come to our provincial village.

Yes. Also a lot of medical terms. I made American M laugh very early on in our relationship when I fell during a run and told him that the doctor wanted to make x-rays to ensure that my „slime bag“ wasn’t injured. It turns out that the translation for Schleimbeutel isn’t slime bag. But bursa.

It’s a literal translation of the Greek meaning of oxygen. It means an element that makes things acidic.

Stoff in this context is always meant as „substance“. Stoff never means stuff, that’s Sachen or Zeug. Other meaning of Stoff is „fabric“.

Hydrogen is Wasserstoff (Element that makes water).

Ever visited the Zoo? It’s really very well done.

You could go and listen to the parliament in the Maximilianeum: www.bayern.landtag.de/besuch-im-la...

Germans lack of understanding these simple facts of American life often wind up in hospitals … and morgues.

If you watch and share one thing today make at this. Why is every democrat in the country not talking like this?

I know this post will seem nasty and all, but I’m really getting bothered by people going about their lives and being happy and acting like all is well or just being f—-ing oblivious to reality.

Being around loud jovial happy people is actually pissing me off. I said it.

Hey, WDW/Carousel of Progress fans out there: I’d get those last rides in ASAP. Much like last summer’s snap decision to close and demo the Rivers of America, something similar should be expected for CoP. But at least it will have a Big Bright Beautiful Tomorrow shining at …

I remember trying to school Disney fanboys on the evils of Palantir working with Disney on security and screening issues over 15 years ago. This company is pure evil. Always has been. Probably always will be.

There will be a lazy river at the abomination being built at the Lakeshore Lodge. Some people I know are working on it.

WOW: A stunning new report in the WSJ reveals that military advisers intentionally excluded Donald Trump from the command room during the recent high-stakes operation to extract a downed U.S. airman in Iran, because they feared his erratic behavior could jeopardize the mission. 1/

Yeah, but the kewl kidz say it’s gotta be one or the other. Good thing I never followed that crowd.

In other words, I totally agree with you and I see it too.

Wasn’t it? Your network barely mentions that it happened. Just who was this kid who shot at him? His family? Their political ideology? Have they suddenly gotten wealthier? Just why is this huge story a non-story?

Land rows covered in black foil under which white asparagus grows.

We saw some (white) asparagus fields which had these interesting machines for lifting up the foil to access the asparagus from underneath. The foil is for the early asparagus as it increases the temperature underneath.

As a Floridian, it used to make me laugh when I lived in 90210 and they’d have weathermen breathlessly talking about “rain events” with a quarter of an inch coming down. … Bavaria reminds me of the same minus watching Dallas or Fritz on the TV.

I’ve never experienced anything close to heavy there.

A scanned picture of your signature has the same meaning as typing out your name in German law. It’s just pretty, but totally unnecessary.

I’m fine with the first two.

And what’s the deal with David Ellison anyway? He’s the spawn of one of the three richest humans on earth and he literally looks like a dumb frat boy heading off to a raging kegger where he’s getting blown in the closet and then puking all over his best friend’s Camaro.

They go through phases with it, which I’m convinced is tied to whoever is the buyer of the moment. You’ll see periods of great stuff, no stuff or crap stuff.

It absolutely is. I’ve spent well over 100 nights there since 2001. It’s absolutely Disney at its very best … compared to something like the Riviera or that tower at the Poly.

Robert, some of us tried to get media to pay attention to the dangers of the Ellisons stealing Paramount when Biden was still President. We even had receipts of criminal activity and we were summarily ignored by media.

Remember Shari Redstone? I do.

When I first started encountering them, my honest reaction was “they broke the internet.” It went from being a tool that could provide useful information (or other tools) in seconds to a “how much time do I devote to cutting through this bullshit to find something useful?” mindset.
