We are going backwards. If we don’t train doctors and nurses then we denude other countries of their trained doctors and nurses. Provide bursaries so they are not saddled with debt. Same goes for plumbers construction workers care workers. Where there’s a need give training- how difficult is that.

I do understand this view. Austerity as implemented was a disaster (as I said very publicly for a decade)
But we are not seeing/have not seen a huge increase in inequality and the idea that there's some soak-the-rich get-out-of-jail-free card just doesn't add up
